Quote: Where's Tomahawk now???

Chrip...Chirp..Chirp
My guess....he's dusting off his resume, trying to figure out a way how to convey that he "...lead his last company successfully through reorganization..." in a manner which yields him a job. Just watch how many VP level executives, and upper management types start fleeing like, as the saying goes, rats from a sinking ship. All the while, the people who move the company (ramp, gate agents, F/As, and line pilots) continue to move this fine, proud airline along. Very best wishes to all my former employees. This IS NOT the worst thing that can happen to one, professionally speaking. Do your job to the best of your ability, and you'll never have to walk around looking at your shoe laces throughout the day.
Regards,

Quote: 1. Who has a date to the lets-not-liquidate prom ? DAL/NWA does. UAL/CAL does

2. Who doesn't ? USAIR, SWA, JBLU, Alaska

3. Of the above, who are legacy, old-school majors, also financially weak and could benefit from a partner ? Which have already made a run at another major legacy partner but it didn't work out ?

SATPAK,
Maybe it's just me....but you seem to really enjoy observing/commenting on the demise of other's fate. Maybe the local paper's Obituary section would be a better place for you to spend your time, or perhaps the hospice section of the hospital---those that are still in pain, AND breathing. I'm just saying....

Tomahawk has probably been given another assignment.

Yeah, like maybe removing one more olive out of the first-class salads...probably get a bonus for such a fresh, innovative idea too. Sheesh....

Is that synonymous with 'promoted'?

Negative negative just speculating who the merger partner will be.

Sorry, eaglefly. The day after DAL went BK the rules changed (which, btw drove the DAL BK decision/timing). AA can't dump the A-plan on the PBGC. They can, however, eliminate the lump sum payout and the stock market lookback provision.

Alaska does not need a date as we are everyones codeshare *****! Merged (married), we are worth far far less. Who marries a hooker anyway?

Well, it's been frozen and no new contributions are coming in it, so what's the difference. As far as it ultimately going to the PBGC, yes, we'll have to wait for their 1113 motions.

Those that retired during Novemeber just got hosed out of their lump-sum, but those prior still have it. Supposedly, that is why they filed before the end of this month and to prevent a large retirement wave from impacting the Christmas schedule further.

hate to say it, but glad they went BK, get it out of the way. It was inevitable, shrinking to profitability. If we had signed, they would have looked like saviors, brought up share prices for a little while, and coined in one more PUP Prize., maybe 2 at the outside. Feel bad for the guys under 60 that didn't pull the pin early enough though. When you look at it now, we'd have been better off going into BK back in 2003. Just a bunch of greedy pricks!! Hope someone calls them out on lining their pockets and outs the lot of them.
