You didn't make sense! If you are refering to the TWA/APA SLI, I don't have a dog in that fight and wasn't around for it but from what I have seen TWA got the hosed. That is to include more than the pilots.

I was around and remember some friends at TWA feeling a different kind of LUV from the APA Pilot group.

Still hosed after all these years, the FTWA Pilot group is hanging in there, along for the ride once again.

Let's hope that for the sake of the industry they all get treated fairly.

If my carrier does merge/purchase/unite with AA, I'll write my reps stating my support for a fair SLI. I don't want to fly with angry people for the rest of my career.

A merger between two giant networks is going to cull a lot of capacity. Heck, my management team states "capacity reductions are our leverage." If so, there are going to be many more pilots than jobs.

So Frank, that's pretty magnanimous of you.

Exactly. In merger math, 1+1 = approx 1.8

I only get this one life. I refuse to spend it thinking about how I'm going to screw the other guy.

Then you're DEFINATELY not an airline pilot !

Don't you know that's rule #1 and the most important trait of Airlinii Pilotus ?

Every airline manager and executive learns this on day 1 and knows this one immutable fact will always mean they win in any conflict. It's as certain as death and taxes.
