A Message from AMR Management to AA Pilots

http://www.aa.com/content/images/amrcorp/lynn_md.jpg

This is Denise Lynn, Senior Vice President - People with an important message to the pilots of American Airlines.

Get the #%&*# back to work and quit dragging your feet! I am the vice-president and you will do what I say. Taxi at a fast pace! Ignore minor maintenance "inconveniences" and report for work even if you're not fit to fly. My Mercedes needs new tires and I'm due for another Botox treatment. Not to mention I need to get back to the company townhouse in London to pick out some new curtains. Enough of this foolishness. I'm going to vomit! If I don't see an IMMEDIATE improvement I'm going to get my buddy Sean to shove an injunction up your arses!

Yeah, what she said!

Could you please refrain from posting pictures of this goon and thug? Sumb*tches make me want to vomit. Riding jumpseat #2 in Southwest last night I'm reminded over everything that is wrong with AMR and that will never be fixed till there is a COMPLETE PURGE of this bastard management.

Reading her Bio is why I hate management types. Her resume consists of nothing but VP of this, Managing Director of that, Board Member for this. It doesn't seem like she has done any actual "work" type work, just is very good at telling people how they should work.

One thing that made Bethune so successful is that he has actually turned a wrench and preflighted an aircraft. When you walk a mile in someone's shoes you get a much better perspective on how to manage.

Isn't that what people with Management/Business Degrees and MBAs do?

Yup. It's also why so many of them fail so miserably at the task. The psychotic system rewards poor performance so often, it matters little what they do, but what they are.

Executive pay and compensation

I would like to know how much the top 5 at AMR management makes compared to a first year FO

You've got a point. She did not even graduate from a "B School" and hasn't done anything much to educate herself beyond that point, or distinguish herself. Given the state of "employee relations" she does not seem to have done too well at that task either. One wonders why she was selected for the job.

It's been awhile, but my old FOM listed duties and responsibilities. The CEO was a small paragraph. Mine, as a Captain was a page. When I added LCA, it was a page and half.
