AMR/APA agree to 2 pilots sharing a hotel rm

Same room with a fellow NAAtive pilot, how exciting. We can have pillow fights and tell ghost stories. Funny how times change, you can be looking down your nose at a fellow professional, then having to share a room with them.

7576... you jumped the gun a little there bro. First, they are talking about a day room when there is more than a 5hr sit... i.e, "rest on duty".. 2nd, this has been in our contract for years and has never been enforced to the best of my knowledge (for good reason.)
They are not talking about regular layovers.
Still voting No!

Here it is:
I'm betting the UAL CAL pilots are jealous of this...This is why American was my only choice straight out of design school. I never applied to CAL/UAL/DAL because they believe in separate hotel rooms.
I'm voting "Yeth" (insert Rainbow smiley)
"There may be certain unusual isolated situations of a temporary nature where single occupancy accommodations, as stipulated above, cannot be obtained at a daily rate of sixty-five dollars ($65) or less. Under such circumstances, double occupancy in a double room will be acceptable until single occupancy accommodations are again available at this rate."
No alternative lifestyle choices are being mocked in this post. Any coincidence to mocking an Alternative lifestyle is intended for dramatic purposes only. 7576FO does not believe in Unicorns, he actually owns a Narwhal.

So a male Capt and female FO sharing a room is OK? I'm not sure if that will play with the wives club. Really shows how low an opinion AA mgmt has for the well being of their crews. They are probably having a good laugh though.
