Will "Legacy" US Air keep hiring
We get to say legacy usair and legacy American now! Anyways for those of us still under review do we still have a chance or are we done

They are going to have to give all AMR furloughs a chance to come to LAMR and LLCC soon, but I would think LLCC will need will continue hiring in the short-term.

Officially, the MOU requires that furloughs from the other entity be offered jobs before off-the-street new hires, but that can't realistically begin until the transaction closes. After all, it is possible - albeit unlikely - that DOJ or someone else disapproves and the whole thing falls apart.
So my guess is that US continues street hiring and AA continues recalls in the short term. By the time the deal closes in Q3 sometime, it's entirely possible the only furloughs left at AA will be voluntary (i.e. bypassers). Lots of variables at play here, and everything happens fast. But with rest rules and retirements coming hard and fast on both sides, plenty of bodies will be needed pretty soon, so if you want to get aboard, get in line as soon as possible Best of luck! |

Any idea how American will work applications? Will they use airline apps or some other web service?
