I've been out of domestic for 15 years, so I've lost touch, but I think the INT hotels are generally really nice. Some of them are "Wow, this is incredible!" So if hotels are a deal breaker, go international.

I'm still Intl and havent been domestic for years so I'm not up to speed, just passing along what I've heard from domestic buds. Seems like we have a few 24hr domestic/Canada layovers that are airport hotels. That never used to be the case: 14hrs or more was a downtown hotel. That's one good example.

We still stay at some upscale hotels, but not as much as we used to. I am pleased to say that, when a hotel is not up to par and enough pilots complain about it, it gets changed. We've seen that a few times this year.

Intl hotels are still very nice.

I'm heading back to DCA 737 domestic soon so I'll have a better idea then.

Posting of domestic hotel accommodations on a public forum is a brilliant idea. Carry on.

What, are the bad guys now going to stalk these hotels? It's not like it's hard to find out where pilots lay over.

Easy.. just look outside a hotel, and when you see five girls dressed alike, smoking, you know you hit pay dirt.

Pilots will let you know who they are every time, either with their mouths or with their 1980s jeans, tucked in polo shirts, and white sneakers.

Or worse... jeans, black socks, and black work (dress) shoes. This has been a disturbing trend of late.

"Uh, Dude, forget your shoes?" "No, it's easier this way. Less weight in the bag."

Ohhh-Kay!

Or that cool leather uniform jacket that keeps you from packing another one.

Hey, at least I remove my epaulets and name/wings patch before I hit the town!
