You may be correct. I honestly can't remember the exact wording, it may be that they could invoke that provision in order to avoid furloughs while downsizing?

At any rate, it's a moot point right now, that only applies to the "protected pilots", who start after the 824. Could be a couple of years before we get there.

Guy emailed a guy that would know. Said large number of undefering pushed start of process back to probably August/Sept.

Didn't specify if that was when the program(apps?) would start, the interviews would start, or the actual hiring would start.
