I was enlisted as well but for the airlines that time does not count as it was not pilot time. My best guess is the civilian guys will get calls sometime next year. As all the airlines are going for the mill guys right now. so it wont be too long!!

In my class I think there were 3 of us that were all civilian, no military. I know of a few others here and there hired with all civilian time. So they are hiring civilian only outside of the flow. It just seems to be a small percentage though.

40%(?) of 'off the street' are civilian(guess/estimate).

As someone else mentioned, I was talking about 767I.

Correct, augmented 737 is a thing of the past.

Mil/civ hiring

My interview group (end of Feb) had 20 candidates. 17 military pilots (2 of those at Eagle, 1 at Atlas, 1 at JetBlue, 1 at a company flying in the Middle East for the government, the rest seemed to be air national guard guys not currently at an airline but I can't recall the specifics); there were 2 civilian-trained females, and I was the only civilian trained male. But I have 26 years in the Marine Corps and still in the reserve, so maybe my resume hit some sort of military screening wicket. Seemed to me - based only on my particular group and the guys I know that went from where I currently work - that it was mostly military. But it is not exclusively military so keep updating the app. I start 5/20.

20/month are coming from Envoy via the flow and most of those I'd think would be civil, so it would make sense to balance that out with a higher percentage of military and "other" in the street hire half.

Just my .02..........

I thought just eagle had the flow? At that rate of 2 or 3 civ pilots hired a month I guess I will hit retirement before I receive an interview.. lol

Just got the email inviting me to do the video interview. Wondering if anyone can point me to a post/thread with some info on what to expect? A quick search didn't turn up much, but my google-fu skills aren't the best and I'm currently on a trip in the PRC where internet searches can be rather limited. FWIW 4200(ish)tt, prior mil heavy, current 121/reservist. Thanks in advance.
