What a joke. Every time I see a VA crew with no tie, I throw up in my mouth.

Would it be nice to not wear a tie? Sure, why can't I wear flip flops and shorts. Because we are professional pilots, damnit. And if you want to be treated like a professional, you better start looking and acting like one.

As for you, I think VA is going to be hiring still, why don't you do us a favor and apply?

+1.

Just in the last 2 weeks I've seen 2 mainline guys in uniform walking thru the terminal wearing sunglasses on their head. Is it supposed to be the cool look? Pretty sad.

So VA pilots aren't professionals? What about senior management or chief pilots? All of them have dressed down over the years and they aren't any less professional. Either way it's no reason to get wrapped around the axle.

So why don't we just pick a uniform that makes us ALL look like losers!
Your logic escapes me.

Because i'd rather use the millions of dollars that the company will need to spend buying back leather jackets and buying 15000 new hats for pilots on things that are more important. Just stick with the current AA uniform and buy that for the US airways pilots or Vice Versa. We can't seem to find the money to spend on nicer hotels and are stuck staying in days inns and ramadas but we have millions to buy costumes.

I personally think the rumors of the "done deal" Delta jr. uniforms are false. It's probably wishful thinking from a few pilots and has been spread around as fact.

Deleted. Not worth arguing about.

1) That is the most hilarious thing I've ever heard a USAPA guy say. (I'm sorry, I don't have my scorecard filled out, so I don't know which strain of USAPA CanoePilot is -- so this might be sarcasm instead of humor.)

2) 85 replies, and not one mention of this phrase --- wow.

I think the new uniform has been decided and USAPA published a survey this late in the game to try to persuade the company away from their choice.

The survey shows that USAPA pilots want the status quo to remain, but this merger should be more so about change.

The best and biggest airline in the world should have uniforms that rival foreign carriers such as Cathay, BA, EK and Lufthansa.
