I went through the ECIC prep over a year ago and thought it was beneficial in getting in the mindset of answering TMAAT questions and finding out my strengths and weaknesses. Ie I was sounding rehearsed so I worked on being more conversational with relating my stories and experiences. Ie practice as if you were talking to a friend of your mom that has no idea about aviation. Was on of the examples used to help me. I was using too much military jargon! Lol. I don't think prep is 100% essential, but when competing for this job would you rather have done everything possible to prepare? All my friends that have been hired at the majors have done interview prep FWIW. The other American Airlines hiring thread has a wealth of info in it.

It's on willflyforfood under the AA section. Questions change but seeing previous questions helps you practice.

Can you do the interview on a iphone? Sure. Next question - are you presenting yourself in the best possible light if you do it on a cell phone? If you have no choice explain the circumstances(like the guy in a bunker...).

Pro tip.

Clean your camera lens before the video interview!

Use a computer or at least an iPad over an iPhone or android mobile device!

That being said, Apple has great cameras, microphones, and noise cancelation algorithms in it's hardware.

Sorry Al, I haven't been on here in a while.

I've completed the video interview and now I'm waiting. I did get another email requesting additional information on my online application and I’m wondering what this means. Does anyone know anything about this? Did everyone get this request or only those who have completed the video portion and have now been selected for the DFW interview?

I also have an interview with US Airways next month and I'm hoping American calls soon so I’ll have two chances to climb onboard.
