Eagle Votes No

So the eagle pilots voted their TA for 175s down. 70% What would it take to get the 175s on property here. APA have any chance?

Might as well make them E-190's. Only 20 on property on the U side of AA and that seems like way too small a fleet to maintain and staff, so they should either add more or better yet, replace them with more A319's.

Let's get them as 190s and put them in DFW/MIA/LAX and let APA enjoy their awesome group one pay they negotiated. :)

The 175's will be RFP'd immediately, so sayeth management. They'll never go to mainline. Even if the 190 "B" scale is cheap, its not as cheap as Repbulic, Mesa, PSA, Skywest, or any other regional.

Thank you to the Eagle folks for standing up for yourselves, and trying to make this a better career for everyone. Glad to see one pilot group who has integrity.

Well, I can't argue with that, it blows. Of course as US Airways pilots should know, under bankruptcy you're pretty much helpless in the leverage department. Given the choice though of E-175's at AA regionals and E-190's at mainline, I'll take the latter. More bodies= more job security.

Group 1 scale isn't as cheap as regionals, but the 190 can offset most, if not all of that with revenue plus it's all going to the parent, instead of some going to the outsourced carrier. Additionally, mainline 190's can be staffed in the future whereas many regionals will soon be extinct due to lack of pilots.

Why change them to 190's? Negotiate a 175 Pay Scale and secure the 70 seat flying for the future!
