Just got an email.

Does this trigger anything MOU wise? Or is it single certificate that is important...

Good, at least now things can start moving along. Does this mean we are all apa now and usapa is no longer a certified union?

Is there a public or AA link to this?

In particular, did this happen without any agreement between USAPA and APA? I know APA had proposed something to move things along, but USAPA was still fighting a bunch of stuff in court.

Does this mean folks can all sign up as members under APA soon?

Goodbye USAPA! I expect APA to adopt an adversarial stance in an attempt to get the most for their current membership (which they absolutely should do). I also expect them to display some integrity throughout and after the process is complete. It will be a real breath of fresh air. Looking forward to it.

This was always part of the process and all parties were well aware of it. USAPA (not surprisingly) has recently adopted the stance they they will remain in existence until the process is complete but after Single Carrier Status was announced for the pilots today, they have 30 days. You can certainly count on a fire storm of legal garbage coming from USAPA, but hopefully it will be in vain.

USAir pilots have been able go to APA's website and sign up for membership since shortly after the merger was announced. That should create a seamless representation transition.

Why would you expect that? We're all APA now (or soon will be.). Surely they're only interested in a fair solution for all their membership...(yeah, right...)

Who knows what has happened, and until all the details are out. I'll sit and watch and see what comes out.
