Well when you jump seat, which airlines do you try first? It's UAL, DAL, SWA for me.

I don't understand these rankings.

I have talked to a person who bought a seat on Spirit and left happy.

It's not like everyone getting off my plane is spitting and cussing.

(Plus, we are smack in the middle of the meat of a huge merger. Cut a brutha a break!)

I'd be interested to see what part of this is due to issues at the regional level? I'm assuming that this is lumping all flights flown for American, and not just mainline flying. Say what you will about the former American Eagle, now Envoy, when they were the sole feeder it seemed to run better. Now that there are like a dozen airlines providing feed, some of whom are cancelling flights because they can't hire enough pilots willing to work for their wages, it makes our entire brand suffer. I'm not saying that's all this is, but I certainly think it plays a part.

Including our regional flights in that ranking certainly doesn't help.

Time to buy Alaska Airlines.

And abandon all of the routes like with Air Cal and Reno Air. Given our history of complete capitulation in the west, this would be par for the course.

I think we will rise in 2016 and beyond. Makes sense that service/bag handling/ on time metrics would suffer the first year of a merger. I'm optimistic. Again, we just merged. UAL and DAL completed their merger years ago.

It's AAG's choice to use inferior carriers and thus the criticism is deserved

Don't forget PSA (the first one) on the US side.

Such horrible management on both sides at our airlines.
