MIA QOL question
This might have been asked recently so sorry in advance.
Which type 737 v.s Airbus would be better for a new hire today in MIA? less reserve time, less senior and great trips. Do people still get into the 75/76 as new hires? Thanks |

Thanks I can't speak to the AB on time, but the 73 reserves are getting used a lot. Half way through the month I'm half way to the monthly max (85) and I'm only slightly higher than the average. That's for long call, short call gets flown a little less. I would imagine the 737 trips have a little more variety just due to the longer legs, but I don't have anything solid as a comparison. |
No, it's been awhile since new hires or flow thru's got the 7576. We've displaced on that fleet a lot.

On long call on the bus I have been 45-60 hours, somewhat junior. On short call I was 25-40. My crashpad 73 buds get to and break mins.

MIA 737 intl FO's are flying more than 737 dom FO's. That's November to date.
You want to fly or don't want to fly? Choose accordingly. |

I live in base. I always have. I do try to make sure J/S'rs get on. I check P*ALL before push to make sure no one is left behind. |
