Anyway, what's the fleet plan for 2017? The chief pilots used to get the next years plan in late November. We have decreased mainline and increased rjs for two years now, but we may be close to the scope limit for large rjs.

Mainline block hrs have, in general, been up slightly. It's how many hrs they fly that counts, not how many we have on the ramp.

Let me sum up contract 2020 in a nutshell. DL/UA+3% with no fixes to reserve, work rules or profit sharing. Maybe maybe maybe a token average calendar day fix but highly unlikely. You heard it here first.

We'll have to disagree on that. I can handle dramatic, but not falsehoods. IMHO his message is lost with those.

With the 76T bid status going away, do you think we will see the remaining fleet numbers increase or decrease at certain bases as they try to "right size"?

I think it'll show when all LUS guys have completed the 763 training.

Rumor is that some large RJ's will have seats removed below scope level to afford for more large rj's and a draw down of the 140/145's and 200's.

What is the latest Indoc fleet and base info? For example, any fleet types set to migrate to another base in the future? More info on fleet reductions or increases? Thx

Doesn't look like any equipment is moving around just yet. Former LUS 76T pilots are getting flat-panel qualified, so the T designation will go away. DFW and LAX are slated to grow on the Airbus, due to the reduction in manning in PHX. That extra flying will flow to those bases. They said it'd be about a year before equipment starts to shuffle.

Hueypilot 01-15-2017 06:58 PM

I've been told that equipment will shuffle once the FAs are completely combined. Right now they can't move around or fly on each other's metal.

Any published timeline for that? Thx Huey.

I think it's gonna take over a year, mainly due to DECS and PBS limitations. Not all FAs are trained on their equipment in their base.

Hueypilot 01-18-2017 02:54 AM

I've heard sometime later this year. Main issue is the LAA flight attendants have issues with the PBS system and refuse to use it until the company resolves the problems.

Crew news DFW: 75/6 flying to east coast bases (JFK/PHL/MIA). Any new 330 Base gossip? Will they stay in PHL/CLT or move? New 78 deliveries seem to be taking over 777 routes, will the triple also be moving to other bases? A350?

No one knows yet.

Like they have some kind of choice.

-I guess they could just not bid and let PBS do what it wants.

The 75/76 fleet is common to both LAA and LUS, so that move is one they can do right now.

As for the rest, it's up in the air and anyone's guess where airplanes will move. Rumors I've heard for the past couple years are:

- MIA 330 base
- PHX and CLT 737 base
- LAX and DFW 320 base expansion (confirmed when they announced PHX downsizing)

Well, the facts are they aren't on the same bidding systems yet and until that happens they will not mix metal or crews.

BOGSAT 01-27-2017 06:59 PM

Thx again Huey. Your rumors match mine.
