Default Places to live while working at CLT.

Looking to move to CLT. Anyone have great advice on where to live. Kids off to colllege so its just the wife and I. Love the out doors. Family's from ILE area but that's a little far to drive.

There's a thread on page 2 called "info on CLT area" that does a good job. That's not a d%#* response btw, just that some guys really broke down taxes, traffic, schools, etc better than I could.

Absolutely avoid anywhere close to the airport. It's like the Walking Dead-except crackheads.

Get a house on the lake and buy a boat. Good crappie fishing to be had.

Forget the 2 pound fish. Bid MIA and use bait bigger a Crappie and try to keep a 50lb Wahoo from stripping a spool of 50lb test and then gaffing it before a 500lb Bull shark inhales it.

Then again, dropping a line for anything with buddies and beers anywhere is a day well spent away from the ranch.
