Default Atlas Air J/S ANC-ORD 21JUL

Atlas Folks:

I listed on your flight 654 ANC-ORD for tomorrow 21JUL. It was scheduled to depart around 0830L from ANC. Now it doesn't show on your schedule. Is that flight cancelled? Called your ANC ops number but only got voicemail. Any help would be appreciated...

I see 5Y654 sched to depart ANC at 0830 local. Two jumpseaters listed with the initials DG and LW. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I'm one of those. Another of your guys told me it was 19 hours delayed!

Jumpseating on Atlas has always been great, but you have to give yourself a wide margin when you use them.

Most of the time I've left on time +- a few hours but every once in a while my flight to or from South America would get delayed up to 24 hours. I always had to plan on leaving a day early, just in case.

When I worked Ops for Atlas in Anchorage, the only flights that regularly went on time were the Polar flights. The Qantas flights were very unpredictable.

Now showing a 17:25z departure. It was originally scheduled yesterday. Something happens and the schedule starts sliding back farther and farther until there is a break and the schedule can be reset.

There's also a 16:00z ANC-ORD but it'll run a few minutes late I'll bet. They're trying an hour turn from a 15:00z scheduled arrival.
