+ Any folks on the pool got offered a class date yet?

Just trying to get an idea of what is the timeline after you get put on the pool.

Stay safe, happy new year!

This is only for ATLAS. No Southern information in this post.

There is no standard timeline once placed in the pool. All "swimmers" are ranked and the highest ranked ones get pulled out first. It's not "first in; first out".

Upcoming new hire classes are planned as below:

767
January 4
January 25
February 15
March 8
March 29

747
January 11
February 1
February 22
March 15

I was 3 months. Have been tracking multiple folks and the trend is 3-4 months from interview until class. On occasion, there are shorter exceptions.

Probably for when the airlines start hiring again. If I remember right, no one showed up for class.

That's easy. We're still way behind where we should have been after years of not being able to adequately recruit.

I mean, the logistics gods just lobbed us a nice big softball earlier in the spring and we're still taking swings at it.

We won't be properly staffed until next year, or even later considering retirements industry wide are still accelerating.

Bill Flynn said in an interview, "We will hire excess crew to offset any job action". They will overstaff the airline and then tell you to %$#@ off if you don't like the current pay/work rules. Al Baker mentality.

That should tell you how underpaid you are. If they're willing to carry excess crews, you really don't cost a lot.

I hope the company is not that cruel to the pilot group. Record making profit in the cargo sector and they are not looking to boost pilot compensation? Those 17 days away from home should be factored in and compensated for to help improve the possible toll on quality of life.
