Is that possible? I thought those two things went hand in hand.....

QOL wise what is the fleet ranking? 767 seems like there would be more opportunities to spend time domestically if one were so inclined.

The 737 is only domestic.

QOL is in the eye of the beholder. If domestic flying is what you’re looking for:

1. 737
2. 767

That’s as it stands for the moment. 747 can have decent QOL but you’ll need some seniority and it depends where you live/are based. I know very little about the 777 but I understand it has very predictable routes.

Friends on the 777 seem to like it.

A lot are basically box of cereal or granola bars maybe a hand fruit and coffee.

why do you say anything over $75 get taxed? It only gets taxed if it exceeds the GSA allowed amount for the locale. In many international locations that amount is north of $100+ and so if you add up what you received for the year vs the total allowed, then the amount over would be taxed but there is no arbitrary barrier at $75

Well, you need to tell that to our accounting department because that is exactly what they are doing.

Atlas does whatever they want to. Just like imputed taxes on Gateway and in base lodging.

sounds like a lawsuit for improper withholding against federal law.

While the GSA has differing domestic rates and the State Department sets international rates for different locations the IRS has their own one size fits all rates for transportation industry workers of $66 and $71. Atlas took the simple solution and everything above $71 is taxed. With the tax reform a couple years ago there is no longer a federal employee business deduction but some states may still allow the deduction on state income taxes.
