haha. You won’t survive working here then. Don’t even plan on going home during any days off. To many schedule changes and last minute fill in’s during breaks. What’s your plan, go home for one night ? Flights are full, jumpseats are full, and you have no priority. Is One night at home worth risking being fired during training ?

There are definitely breaks when you can go home (after all, if you didnt have a 5 day break here and there, you wouldn't be there that long). But be prepared for that. And if you can't make it work, this may not be the place for you. You don't want a washout on your record for family reasons.

There are people in MIA right now who end up spending 110 days in initial.

Agreed. If you're needed at home then this job is not for you.
Due to personal circumstances I hadn't seen my family in 5 months until I started training. In total it was 9 months...finally saw them again when I got finished with OE.
With Atlas you will see your family only for half the year (unless you live on base and can get reserve I reckon.)

As said before, definitely plan on 75-90+ days in training and it helps you acclimate to the 17 day trips. Using vaca effectively, conflict bidding against training if possible and being sick an average of once a year Lionhaart is correct about seeing your family about half the year. You can get crafty but that remains to be seen for others.
* Bottom Line - You must have a strong home front to make it here.
