Staffing issues. Lol. Does this include the guys from my class sitting OE R1 for two months and not even touching the planes, yet? (Kidding, sort of)

On a serious note, rumor I heard was -400’s leaving so pilots can staff -800 flying to keep Amazon (their primary customer for now) happy.

Fourth bird has apparently been released to the line and the last sitting in wherever.

Regardless, the new Southern 737-800 operation has been basically on-time this week, which is a big improvement.

And you are correct, the 4th (5167A) is in TPA. The 5th (5179A) is at VQQ, I believe (where Atlas has a lot of maintenance and induction done).

The problem with the rumor of AAWW dumping the operation of DHL 737s to take Amazon 737s is that DHL is a very-significant customer of Atlas Air, who AAWW would probably also like to keep happy. I didn't look at the latest numbers, but isn't it something like 12 747s and 11 767s that Atlas operates for DHL, plus leasing a few other aircraft to DHL from Titan?

Basically on time this week.. Lol. Gotta love the expectations around here. Give it a day, a 12 hour crew delay is imminent.

Back log for OE. Undoubtedly the FAA is up everyone’s a$$ and we can’t pump these guys through or promote more LCA’s.

The 737 program is going to get scrap if Atlas can’t figure this out. This is why we only have 3 birds and the others are portioned out at a very very slow rate over many years.

The 767 program took about 3 years and it had the benefit of better times (2016-18)and higher pay than the 737.
