Default Interview

I had my interview last thursday. Any clue when can I expect to hear back about their decision or anyone had done their interview around the same time too?

Based on the experiences of several friends that came on recently I would expect something by the end of the week.

In the interview I was told that I should expect an answer within 10 days. (But the interviewer told me that they usually get back to people within a day or two. That got me a bit too concerned when they didn't..

They are told to advise you that it may take 7-10 business days. This is normal as there is often additional documents to collect, e.g. updated medical or temporary licenses, or other factors needing clarification. Under normal conditions class assignment and notification can take a week or so. Class assignments are most commonly made a month or two out.

In cases where there is need to fill a class close in, usually due to someone dropping out or class size adjustment, notification can happen quicker. For this to happen, the candidate has to have a complete package and perform well in the interview. The candidate also must have availability to accept a quicker assignment.

Additonally, most assignments at this time are in the 747 and 777. There are much less seats in the 767 and even fewer in the 737. Some candidates may be "pooled" waiting for assignment to the two smaller aircraft.

Hopefully it all works out for you and you can change your screen name = IflyBIGplanes or at least quite a bit bigger if it's a lite twin!

Get a 747 seat and change your name to "Iflydinkyjets". My two cents.
