that rumors comes and goes every months or so for the past 6-7 years.
will this time be true?who knows. if ual wants to restart it cargo ops as it has been rumored for a few years) it would be a turn key operation, and aawwh could focus on acmi, wich is what they want to do. win-win for both companies in paper. but corporations are not run based on win-win or good logic, just executives profits. so it migth be just a rumor and/or wishful thinking of Polar and Atlas's pilot groups.

I doubt UAL could pull it off. Sure they could do the deal, but they proved that they can't manage their way out of a paper bag with the ANC operation.
I do wonder what the ramp-up in 400 training in Sept. is for. With only a handful of retirements in the -400 fleet, they're up to something.

The 747-400 is a much better machine for the job.
I know a few furloughed United guys that are looking forward to the upcoming news. Some aren't. They thought there was some more time until they had to decide on the second recall attempt.
