sandrich, why would you do that to yourself? Do you not have any self worth? If you keep showing up to be treated like a dog, they will in fact treat you like a dog-PERIOD!

I completely get that, but as a probationary pilot on reserve, I don't see what other choice I have- besides calling out sick(sounds tempting) Technically it's legal per our POS contract, or lack thereof. They've got me by the balls.... They schedule these ICN turns out of CVG, cancel them, then deadhead anyone they can find halfway around the world on the cheapest bare-bones ticket they can find...

No wonder Atlas bought Southern... It wasn't for the planes, it was really for the pay and work rules.

What's the timeline for the contracts to be fully amalgamated?

Keep the faith and unity over there. Let's work together to make the contract going forward as good as we deserve, or better. Enough of this style of management treatment. The SAI and Atlas pilots deserve better.

There is no timeline. Both unions refuse to entertain talk about it, and both continue to negotiate separately under section 6. Remember, the company cannot simply declare that an amalgamation will happen, shutting down section 6 negotiations. Atlas/Southern pilots still have a lot of power here.

It seems that out of 13,000 posts in this thread most of them have nothing to do with "Hiring News". Perhaps it should be moved to another section.

Until they eventually reach negotiations on the economic and work rule issues. Then the fun begins.

Get those apps out.

Absolutely. I'm not sugarcoating anything: It'll get ugly. But I want our pilots to simply know that an amalgamation isn't a foregone conclusion. We don't need guys out there resigned to that potential outcome.

We have lots of leverage here. Fly the CBA.

Early in the history of this thread it resided under the 'Cargo" heading. Moderators moved it after about a year or so to where it is now. Not certain why they didn't like it under Cargo but that's the story. I do kind of wish the topics of "Hiring News" and "Contract Talks" could be in their own individual threads but perhaps this is just as well as it is. As long as each group of posters remains civil to the other then valuable information can be gleaned by each.

Contract talk and hiring news aren't separate topics.

Hey guys, sorry to change the subject, but quick question about filling out the pilot applicant questionnaire. Would New York to the Caribbean count as an ocean crossing? I'm thinking probably not. Thanks!
