From the DO this week: They want a list of 1400 - 1500 in 2 years.

It's an airline(ish), but that's the plan of now. Classes fire up in Jan. Part 117 is going to come in effect. Retirements start in a month.

Could all change next week, but the guts that sign checks seem to be sticking to the strategic plan.

Of course, it doesn't count until you're hitting TOGA on the jet...

Anyone else see a drop of R1 on aims for rest of month?

I had a R1 day added for tomorrow instead of sitting around for a day at the end of my trip.

My R1 from 14-30 turned into a trip to several garden spots of the Middle East...oh yeah!!:D:p

Most of my R1's get turned into trips. YMMV.

I had a bunch of R-1's in December get filled up with high block time flying, seems a little early for that.

Honestly I have yet to see an R1 remain an R1 with the exception of one for a single day that may sit at the end of a trip. All the rest have always become flying. Not complaining! I'd much rather fly than have them turn to R2 which is the next most likely scenario.

Depends on the fleet. The Light Twin ER is very slow this month. Looks like I'll work 4 of my 9 R1 days, and I was lucky to have been called at all. I hear it'll pick up next month.

Remember, if you're R-1 and they schedule you a trip with less than 30 hours notice to report time you are entitled to transportation from your RESIDENCE to wherever they need you. Also, from what I understand, even if you go Gateway to your Base for the trip, the travel to and from is not imputable....

Nuts, I forgot about that.
