Two friends of mine got the invite for the online test. Both are regional guys. One is a captain and the other has always been an FO. One finished the test and last week and passed and the other is taking it soon. No interview call yet for the guy who passed. Hopefully soon. I'm happy to see that with the change in leadership at the training center they are still reaching out to regional pilots. We have a nice mix here at Atlas and everyone brings something to the table.

I was a 747-400 guy for the friendly competition who is returning to the frac life for family QOL issues, but I have to say I loved the long haul non sched stuff and youse guys at Giant are setting the pace , you are the Yankees , we were the Mets, (but hey I'm a Mets fan), I applaud you in your fight for a world beating contract , go team !!!

In that case, figure out a way to get a text copy or email of ALL your voice mails sent to you. it is easier to check that vs checking your phone in a foreign land!! Or just suck it up, and turn your phone on dry land, and check the actual voice messages.

Good luck.

On my iPhone -
  • Google Voice will email and text you if you miss a call and atttempt to convert voicemail into something you can read.
  • AT&T international roaming is free to activate (I think) and offers reduced rates on calls and free incoming texts.

The process here is opaque, but best we can tell, you score points for each phase of the interview process, from your resume to the online test to the phone interview to the in-person interview. Surely some count more than others, but at the end, apparently they're all totaled up into some kind of final score, which determines your ranking in the hiring pool. The pool gets reindexed every time they run interviews, so it's in your best interest to try to maximize your score.

That was the old system. There is simply "Recommend (R)", Highly Recommend"(HR) or Not Recommend (NR) code assigned to each applicant at the end of the process. No more scores or reshuffle after each interview. There will be R and HR in each class to provide a mix.

Gents, I took the test last week as well. No phone call yet. I was able to finish and see my score. I will let you know if and when I get a call. Currently flying the right seat at a regional. Glad to see the diversity in the group!

April 2014. They left me a voicemail as well as an email to call them back.

Oh, that's right. I'd still argue the process is opaque at best. There's one RJ guy who was put in the pool in May 2013. (so, an R at least) Most of the guys from that interview group didn't get class dates until this spring because things had slowed down for a while. He hadn't been called yet, and this summer I asked JC if a guy in his situation should re-apply or just email HR. JC was emphatic that they knew they'd left some guys swimming for a long time, but that the pool would be drained entirely. He's never been called, responses from HR have been vague, he's never been told to re-apply or that he's out for whatever reason, just kinda left in limbo. If they're not re-indexing and flushed the pool, what happened? I imagine by now he's moved on.

RJ captain. 5400 TT

I took the test one week after I was invited to do so. I passed the test this morning. Now I wait. Gouge spot on. Thanks to those that had info.

congrats to all who have endured the process. good luck to one and all!

Took the test a week ago and passed using CRM. All gouge is accurate. Many questions from the ATP test bank. At least 3 questions on SLOP, one of which said something about 15mi offset. Several descent planning questions on a STAR using 3:1 planning factor. Quite a few weather questions (definitions) at least two on jet stream. JFK IAP questions.

I finished and timed out checking my answers. I was able to log back in to see my score (distance learning format as previously described). Out of curiosity I tried again today to log in and was able to do so.

My numbers:
internal rec, 3100TT 2900 Turbine, 480PIC, Mil only.
