No offense, but I am not even interested in working at Southern and I know the answer to this and all of the above questions. All the info you need about lines, CASS, commutability, etcetera are answered in this and the other thread. I have seen the same questions answered at least three times. If you have even the least interest in this job or a job at FedEx for that matter, do yourself a favor and do a little research before asking a question. The guys with the info you request will be much more likely to answer the first time the question is asked rather than the ninth.

I said threads. On page two there is a SA thread that discusses everything you want to know.

http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/ca...interview.html

Enjoy, it will eat up the rest of your evening, but should answer most of your questions.

After you digest that thread, you will (hopefully) understand the 'can you fog a mirror' response.

What price do you put on your soul?

CVG-STL-MCI and reverse back.
CVG-ROC-BDL and reverse back
CVG-PHL and back
CVG-YYC-YEG and back. Sometimes with MKE stops.
CVG-JFK-BDL this next month.

Most if not all lines have blended reserve. Most overnights (technically "over-days") are 10 hours of rest...11-12 hours of duty for 4 hours of flying.

How does the per diem work?? Do u still get it while you sit through a sort?? If you are at work for 18 days can u pretty much count it as 18*24* perdiem rate??? Averaging about a 1000 bucks in perdiem per month???

HercDriver130 06-18-2015 08:30 PM

you are based in CVG....once you get back to CVG.. your per diem will cease.... just like any other airline... 737 guys are NOT home based they are CVG based ... and the company does NOT provide hotels in CVG or transportation to and from CVG.... this is outside the guise of their contract thus they have and LOA to cover this.... they recently had numerous 737 CAs walk off the job... ymmv

Nope, per diem stops the second you block in in CVG. Maybe you'll average 12-14 hours a day, less any RSV days you're not used. So $2 per hour * 14 hours * 14 days = a little less than $400 a month.

Does southern use ipads on the 737??
