I don't know about you guys but I would have rather retired at age 60. I know its not possible but frankly, At that age, I wan't to be drinking a cold one on the beach while I am having my Baron repaired at the local airport.

I am not saying this to offend anyone or that pilots over 60 should be out of the job, since I would much rather fly with one of them in the cockpit than a new hire. I am just saying my personal opinion.

Heck, I'd retire TODAY except the pension penalty for early retirement is so high its out of the question.

Hector,

what age you retire at is based on your actions, plans, and expectations. I know plenty of guys living paycheck to paycheck--I just don't choose to be one of them.
I don't have the latest TV. The newest car, etc. I don't feel the need to up the spending to match the minimal longevity raise.

Doesn't matter how much you earn, only matters how much you spend.
