actually given my responses the position from which I’m responding would be better referred to as promoter, not recruiter.

nobody is flying the A220-300 yet. The pay scale will probably change 3-4 times before anyone earns hourly pay on that plane.
2) do you have pilots in 220 training? Yes. 3) does that make your rates relevant? Yes. 4) do you have a current rate for them? I think you do from what a buddy told me. I think it’s a blended rate (ie the same rate as your abysmal 190 rates). please correct any of the above, as I don’t work there, just trying to get some info in case I want to put in an app there. |

I don't think Breeze is a scab airline. It doesn't exist to get around anyone else's labor contract etc etc.. it's just an airline sold to pilots as the next jetblue. And because of that, everyone is taking in the teeth on pay and benefits. Neeleman hasn't even delivered on the original value proposition.

A non union startup aimed squarely at the unionized LCCs? A SkyWest with big planes? This sort of thing was discussed in great length in Flying the Line I and was always challenged or unionized. Long & Harmon, Century, and Texas Air come to mind.

I see your point. I just think it's more of a competitive advantage manufactured by low wages and exploitive hiring practices with the college kids. I don't think it's comparable to what happened with gojet.

I am hoping to get honest intel about Breeze. I've read through all the comments. Not looking for judgement, just facts. I think it would be helpful to gather as much known info in one place. If you know the answers personally please help out.
1. A220 Pay Rates CA/FO 2. Benefits (retirement) 3. Stock Options if any 4. Benefits (medical) 5. Benefits (vacation) 6. A220 Bases 7. Pilots on Seniority List (05OCT21) 8. Commuter Benefits if any |

GoJet (and Freedom Air before it) was an example of Alter Ego. That's a completely different issue.

FO $103.07 CA $171.42 70 hour line guarantee, 72 hours reserve. 130% pay above 81 hours. Breeze pay is pathetic, and I'm sick of seeing everyone on here try to sell it like its Invacare or something. Neeleman sure knows how to recruit members to his cult of personality, though. Maybe the major airlines should just refuse to hire anyone who takes a job here. Clearly they have no self esteem as pilots, and don't value their skills at all. Not very self aware either. I bet Breeze would be gone in a year due to lack of pilots if everyone got a mark on their record for selling out here. But unfortunately, this industry is full of people willing to step on someone's neck to move up the ladder one rung, and some airline always willing to reward them for doing it. |
