There are A LOT of angry employees and customers right now. The Better Business Bureau is now involved which really isn't a good sign. The company is hemorrhaging cash while suing the Railway Labor Board over the pilot's trying to unionize. This is because of all the issues that get brought up weekly and aren't really getting fixed but "We're looking into it"! There are all the apps to look forward to as well. When one app fails or isn't user friendly, we'll just make another app! It will make you mad.
The pay has fallen way behind industry and the training is poor. It's disorganized and seems to thrive on constant chaos. They will either give you something or tell you you'll get it only to have it taken away. Management is not good. Some really good people left only to be replaced by really bad people. There are a few that really have to go.
The seniority issue is that getting on and getting a number only means you are losing seniority somewhere else. With the pay at the legacies, most LCCs now, and those regional bonuses and pay, you'd be risking a lot coming. A lot of new people will be leaving because of false promises. You cannot commute and they expect you to. If you live near or at a base you may or may not get it. They aren't really good at communication and it almost seems as they are doing it on purpose. There are too many Chiefs and not enough Indians to be blundt.
The best way to describe it is the Iceberg Analogy, "If the Culture of a Society was the Iceberg, than there are some aspects visible, above the water, but there is larger portion hidden beneath the surface".
It's Disappointing, apologies for the extra "S"

Training would be unorganized if you’re inexperienced, anyone who has flown 121 before has no problem. It’s airline training dude, it’s all the same thing. What do you want to be spoon fed??
Last year they invested heavily, and spent a lot of money to set up for expansion. It’s a business investment.
Anyway, not to steer you too far off your rant, and not saying some points aren’t valid, but you sound a little mad. Also legacies are hiring, if you want to go there? Are you even at Breeze???
Late May will mark 2 years, not sure how many people thought that ~18 months was supposed to somehow be profitable or anything, but it will get there.
But back to the echo chamber: Breeze sucks, other airlines good woohoo

Breeze Block Time
Anyone have an idea how much you can expect fly per month/year/extra flying time for more money?
Obviously this changes with seniority(first year, second year)/aircraft/base. Can anyone ball park some numbers? Less than 500, more than 500. See it going up or down.

Who are the angry employees and where are they at? I hope I don’t run into any of them. Haven’t met too many unhappy pax; certainly agree that there are some, though.

My experience was pretty much how that last person described it.
Training was pretty standard but I came in typed. It was crazy chaotic though with tons of delays and issues. Lots of turn over on the management side and those who stay are pretty awful. You asked who the angry employees are? Most have been lucky enough to have moved on to better options. Some have been personally attacked legally by management.
When I got to Breeze I was ready to help build a great product and be part of something meaningful. Unfortunately it turned out to be one of the worst experiences of my career.

A friend of mine was there early on (Ejet Capt) and stayed a year and bailed for the reasons described. It may be somewhat better now. Another friend on the A220 has been there less than a year. And he's thinking about other opportunities as well. Clearly, start-ups have issues but the trend should be positive and not the other way around. He did say something about a survey to consider virtual bases as a QOL carrot.

The trend is positive, but not nearly as positive as most want. If the rest of the industry wasn’t hiring like it was, or advertising 6 month upgrades, overall morale would be better (although MOST pilots here are happy). By all means, we have a mountain to climb. But like the stock market, the trend line is up and down, but overall makes a positive. Management is attempting to make a place that’s good to work, while being profitable. But lack of airframes hurts that need right now. Schedules can be better. Mainly the A220, if you’re on the 195 and don’t live in base… well it sucks, but that’s on you. But no excuse, the A220 should be better

There are months, yes months with the schedules we have that we get home rarely. Some months even with 12-15 days off, I have been home with 3-5 days off without a commute leg. Meaning many off days are commuting to and from. We start early before 7 am, end after 10 pm. So work days are not commutable. Heard we just lost a A220 Captain going to eagle. Many of us are coming up to the “give it a year” mark. With big pay and quick upgrade times at the majors, there are lots of rumblings.
If you move into base, it’s a fantastic job!!!!

I keep seeing posts here blaming all the issues on the airline being a startup. That’s a bit over blown. Jet Blue met all its timelines for starting operations and was literally profitable from its first flight and maintained that through the horrible 2002-04 years. Breeze has not met a single timeline and is not just unprofitable but horribly so. The only thing keeping it operating is that the startup was very well funded. Investors however traditionally have very short fuses and are not interested in excuses. We will see what happens but they basically need to double the revenue per flight while maintaining existing employee and other costs. That’s not a hill to climb, it’s a cliff covered in ice.
