What I find interesting is him talking about using Allegiant's business model… and hiring former Allegiant planners. Well, if those 500 city pairs that are underserved exist, why isn't Allegiant doing it? Also, Allegiant has the additional revenue advantage with also being a travel company selling vacation packages.

I mean, he got the money from somewhere to get this started. Risk is how you make money.... it is also how you lose money.

They have been doing it. The airline tripled the last 6 years, 3XX pilots in 2014 and will be 1,000 this month all while changing the whole fleet to airbus. 53 new routes have been announced this year alone. I believe a lot of the Breeze routes will eventually be much longer routes than what ALGT typically looks for once the A220's come online.

how about the salary?

Most of the airlines started by David have not good reputation of salary. What do you think?

I would think market forces will pressure wages (or turnover) up. If it becomes like a regional with regards to turnover, I doubt that’d be sustainable. If people are happy there for whatever reason and want to stay and not move on, good for them. I don’t wish failure on any US airline and fellow pilots.

The numbers those who have interviewed have reported are matching regional wages (and not the top ones). He also is telling investors right now that part of the business model is that he expects pilots to fly the aircraft at regional wages.

Still a huge step up for a ERJ/RJ pilot just to get out from under the connection/express circus and be part of a real airline.

Whats the total package? Sick leave accrual? Vacation accrual? Bonuses? Stock? What do schedules look like? Retirement and medical? Is the “step up” based alone on a new seniority list or do you have more details?

.......and I certainly wouldn’t be leaving a regional with a flow for a start-up.
