they are planning a 30 day window of selling tickets before flying the first flight. April-may is still very much feasible.

i agree. Not until they have flown PAX and have more than one thread. There are a lot of “airlines” that never got off the ground. Pun intended.

Right, and it's not just Neeleman, but all the people he's surrounded himself with at Breeze. The naysayers should read the resumes on the DOT filing, most either helped start Jetblue or Virgin or were there during the early days.

Most airline startups crash and burn. Breeze won’t be one of them.

I'm reasonably confident in Neeleman, especially since covid solved his pilot shortage problem and turned the industry on it's ear. He might be in trouble if we end up with cascading BK filings at the big boys but so far the fed has kept the aid flowing and there's some light at the end of the domestic tunnel at least.

Unless Breeze ups their pay I still think it’ll be a halfway point for a while between the FFD carriers and the legacies.

Won't take long imo. The competition for qualified pilots will be fierce as the industry turns around. It appears to be happening at a much faster rate than most thought last year. The 55hr gaurantee should be the first thing fixed, and then pay rates down the road. There is also 10% profit sharing fwiw. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

It will get fixed as soon as attrition backfill training costs exceed savings from low pilot pay imho. Or possibly when the first organization effort begins (usually that’s when the promises of unicorns and rainbows come out, but then they only give you a sprinkle of pixie dust but promise more will come in short order). Those are about the only 2 catalysts I see having an effect on pay at a Neeleman company. They know what that sweet sweet seniority number is worth.

That's not bad, wouldn't want to live there but you could probably sit reserve in Tampa.

I prefer Tampa but I'd probably recommend the Cocoa Beach area to someone looking for a high probability 2 hr or less commute in, and affordable water front locations.

Is Breeze a "major" airline as defined by $1B annual revenue? Not sure it should be in the "majors" section. Doesn't look like they're bringing in anything close to that.

Usually a bad idea to bet against Neeleman.....
