LR-45 Captain

I have vaguely noticed the talk of you guys possibly being ferried around on some sort of GA aircraft. PC-12 seemed to be all the talk, but there was mention of a Citation too. Now I see a Charleston-based Lear 45 Captain solicitation on PPW. What's up with that? You folks need some scope!

So who’s getting displaced to fly the Lear? Are we going to be dual typed? What don’t we just get typed on every plane we have. think about how much we can help the company out by doing one leg on the A220, one leg on the Lear, and one final leg on the E190 charter

They’re not going to offer this to a current breeze pilot, dual qualify them, just because it inconveniences a couple of pilots that want chs. That’s not how it works, they’re going to put up a fence. Not to mention, pay, schedule differences and not least of which they need someone with actual Lear experience… This type of ops has been done before by FedEx although their corporate pilots aren’t on the same seniority list as the cargo side.

So will this fall under pt.91? 135? Moving parts and pieces can be done pt.91, but to start shuttling crew memebers on unscheduled flights in a turbojet that’s >12,500lbs. This will be pt.135?

That being said, if the pay rate was the same who wouldn’t prefer to fly coworkers around FBO to FBO in a little hotrod jet vs flying the drooling masses terminal to terminal in the metro busses of the sky?

Even at airfields, many have “GA parking” yet my jet wouldn’t even fit there lol
