Regional or Cargo to make it to legacy
Currently flying in South America for a small regional carrier. Have enough hours to apply with US regionals and meet all requirements.
Thinking about going back to the States with the goal of making it to one of the big ones eventually and have a career there.
Now, there is a possibility for a job with one of the better cargo airlines in South America with MIA base flying B767 and a nice salary.
Question is: if the final goal is getting hired by a US major, I'm I better off staring with the US regionals? Or, flying for a foreign cargo airline would also help me make it to one eventually?
Any opinions or advice? What would you do?
