Contract King Air Pilots
Anyone out there have experience flying King Airs downrange as a contract pilot? Looking for info like:
1. How long is training?
2. What is life like at downrange location? Is it safe? Connectivity back home?
3. How many hours do you typically fly? PIC/SIC?
Thanks!

I work with current and former contract ISR pilots. Their hops are 5 hours in the air. Your sleeping arrangements are 4 man rooms. Can’t comment on connectivity, but I’m sure the MWR is available 24/7. MAG just recently announced $1000 a day rates. Safety is relative. Mortars don’t discriminate between contractors and green suiters

Unless you have big gambling debts to pay off, go to a regional. You'll get hired faster at a major and then can make $1000/day in CONUS, with your own hotel room, and home 15-18 days/month.
