Default University flying???

Hey guys, I was just watching a special on college football (specifically big ten) when a thought popped in my head. What kind of flight operations do larger universities have? I am very close to ATP mins and I’m sure a job like that requires much more time, but I am more curious than anything. A few days ago a plane stopped in the local airport that was from Auburn University in the south. I played some college ball and thought that would be a sweet gig to have. Any info is appreciated..thanks!!!

Many if not most university flight departments pay below NBAA Captain average.

Purdue, Southern Illinois, Auburn, Mississippi State all have or had flight departments and I think Alabama operated a plane too but not 100% sure.

I bet there’s more out there...
