True, but you’ll get paid more on reserve there as opposed to being on reserve here, and you won’t get abused as badly.

Reserve sucks everywhere. They get abused just like we do. Double deadhead to work a leg then double deadhead back to your domicile. It happens everywhere.

Thanks everyone for the input. I feel like things have changed a bit since I held a line in 2006 and it seems for the better.
I will be reapplying here in the near future, if nothing else, to see where I am accepted. It feels good to be welcome back in to the community..

I’m sure. But what’s better than a 2 leg commute to an outstation base. To then DH to cak and fly 1 leg and DH back.

Why would we encourage anyone to come here. Every base (except clt) we have there is a republic base within driving distance as well. You get paid more, don’t have to put up with the 200, better work rules, and you get to fly the transitional jet. Reserve sucks and all regionals are mostly the same. But as time goes on all the other regionals seem to be pulling ahead with pay and work rules, meanwhile we’ve got the flow and out station bases. And don’t forget those 4-7 hour request times on sap. Unless you’re rtp, Why come here?

It isn’t that I’m specifically encouraging people to come to PSA. I have always given impartial advice to those who seek it. And that doesn’t always mean coming to PSA. I’ll tell someone if I think it isn’t a great idea for them to 2-leg commute to DAY from wherever compared to driving to work in a base for another airline.

That being said, people have different goals, wants and needs when it comes to selecting an airline to work at. If they have decided on PSA I’ll tell them, again impartially, what they can expect. The good and the bad.

What’s a “transitional jet”?
