Job Fair Question

Id like to trail on this thread regarding job fair participation.
So let’s say I want to go to WIA conference and network, meet recruiters, etc but I’m not a member of WIA nor a woman, or NGPA but not gay/lesbian/bi, or OBAP and not black...meaning I don’t fit the demographics of the conference, but I just want to get into the frontline with the companies hoping to land that dream company. Is doing that frowned upon or taboo by the affiliated group? Frowned upon by the recruiters/companies...? Will there be haters rolling their eyes saying “oh he/she’s not even gay (or black or female) and they’re here trying to smooze at our event ...” good networking tactics regardless??
