Being DFW, have you looked at Ameriflight? Could be a great way back in. They are used to training low time “entry” pilots so that part should be easy. They hire all types; young/old, new/experienced.

The difficult part is QOL flying cargo. However, scheduled side is better than the charter side, in my opinion.
