Applications before Hiring Events?
#1
Many digital applications have profile questions that force you to select your hours within a range, i.e. 0-1500. That can potentially trigger an automated rejection if the threshold is set to 1500+. So if you are in the 1400 hour range going to a hiring event soon do you fill out the application and risk an immediate rejection, or not fill it out and just have resumes to hand out at the hiring event? Some companies don’t want you to re-apply for 6 months if you have a rejection.

You could have the app completely ready to go, and then simply ask them at the event. If they want it published, whip out your tablet and hit enter.
That might be best since the answer might be different for different airlines.
You'd think that those companies hiring 1500 hour pilots would be interested in talking to folks who are almost there.
