I went to the VA DMV today and they only had records for my time in VA. Couldn't get any for GA, TX, or NY. Any ideas on how to track that stuff down? Besides travelling to these states?

Have you tried printing out the "record request" form from the DMV websites for GA, TX, and NY?

Records

Some states like Virginia, and Florida you can do a request on line pay with credit card others have to print the request form, pay via check and mail it.I lived in many states over the years and had all my records within 14 days. I would list everything .. then you have no worries after you have been hired. Just because you cant find a record doesn't mean someone else can't.

I have pulled over 3 times in my life, but never issued a ticket. Every time I was respectful and got away with a warning. In the interview they incredulously asked me "Do you really not have any speeding tickets, ever?" I told them they same thing about getting stopped three times. I got the job.

I think if your just honest and you put down whatever you can remember, you'll be fine. If you put down 2-3 incidents and they find a 4th later on, and it's a simple speeding ticket (and not a DUI) you'll be OK. I honestly can only remember 2-3 fines, but I might have had one or two more, but they've been so many years in the past that I'm not too worried about it.

Incidentally, here in San Diego this morning I watched a CHP officer handing out tickets to bicyclists who were biking through a stop sign. Must have had it in for them. Either than, or it's getting close to end of month quota time.
