Hey guys..a little off topic but I've been thinking about doing the electronic logbook since logshare sold out. I've been looking at LogbookPro but heard it's not the easiest...any suggestions??

I've been using Logbook Pro for about two years now, and am pretty happy with it. Compared to some I do that much with it - enter times, occasionally check various.

Support has been very good (APDL's per diem calculator doesn't handle international per diem rates, and there's no fix coming in the near future is really my only gripe). Other issues I've had have been solved in one or two emails, and they imported my old logbook file for me, since my old logbook wasn't one that was listed to import.

Overall, I'm quite happy and recommend it to others.

Safelog, very easy and and very flexible, with a dropbox back-up!

Hi!

LBPro is the best PC logbook, and the most expensive.

If you want a paper logbook, like I do, print it out whenever. I keep about 5 copies of it, in various physical places, plus email it to myself whenever, so it is always on the server.

Here is a simple proactive solution - Photocopy your logbook, pictures of your household possessions, premarital agreement, trust, etc., etc. Then send the copies to your brother/friend/parent . . . anybody who lives somewhere else and that you trust. The other person can do the same thing. Then if your house burns down/something gets lost/stolen, etc., you have the copies available to you.

My car was broken into in IAH at a hotel. My chart case was stolen. Got the empty case back and no logbook. I talked to a recruiter about this. I have and had a digital record in MS excel. I started a new logbook. She said just don’t bring that up. Show them what you have. Present it professionally. If they don’t ask you don’t tell.

Your log book is subjected almost entirely to your honesty anyway. I have a digital record now in MS excel. I email it to myself each time I update it. Every 3 months or so. House can burn down or computer can get stolen and I still have it.
