Default American Airline Internship

Hello fellow pilots,
I just receive an interview for an American Airline Internship this summer. Really excited but don't know what to really expect. Are there any concerns with questions, preparation, ect., that I need to worry about. Any input will help.

Thanks,

Just got back from my interview yesterday. Don't sweat it - the interview is 15 minutes tops and very basic. Know the airplane you're flying, relax and listen, and ask for the internship at the end. Smile, say please and thank you, etc. The interview starts when you get to the airport and ends when you deplane your flight home, so treat gate agents, FAs, etc. with the same respect you would Lisa Solitario, who will be interviewing you. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

congrats on possibly getting offered the internship. A buddy of mine that I went through flight school with 3-4 years ago did that internship last summer. Since then he has been hired on with Eagle (still pending captains review board)... The internship didn't pay much but benefited him in the long run because the people he met then are the contacts he used to get a foot in the door for the flying job now

What are the requirements and minimums to do an internship?

So are you down in Dallas? If so, we might have met several times already...

Congrats on the interview. I did an internship there back in 06, and I remember the interview was not stressful at all. If it's still being done by Lisa, the interview should only last about 15 minutes if I remember correctly. And if you meet Jim Johnson down there, be sure to talk about Ohio State. I remember seeing an Ohio State mug he had on his desk, and the rest of the interview we talked about football. Very laid back atmosphere, and an amazing experience. Good luck.

The interview is not bad at all. I did it with Lisa. Asked questions about the plane you fly, made me write why AA for a page, some HR questions. It was no big deal at all. Good luck!
