Airline Apps HELP
#1
I am in the process of added my flight time in airlineapps, and I've run into a big SNAFU.
My logbook has 237hrs of Flight training received. However, when I put the information in AirlineApps, it balloons my TT. For example if I have 100hrs total time (in logbook) and 50hrs of flight training in (logbook) the totals in airlineapps comes to be 150 and not 100hrs as my logbook indicates... Am I missing something PLEASE HELP.
I do have far more hours than the ones given in the example

I ran into the same problem. Basically I got it as close as possible (mine was within 7 hours) and left it at that. I think I played around with it for a good 2 hours trying to figure it out (and that was after another 3 hours of going through my logbook and totaling all the different aircraft I flew through training and instructing). If they ask, I'll just tell them the truth, it didn't match but I tried my best to get it close.

I've heard of similar things happening with the software. Give AirlineApps a call - technical support no doubt has seen this before and may be able to guide you to a solution very quickly.

Enter your flight time totals in accordance with FAR Part 61 (see below). However, DO NOT include any "PIC" pilot time that was also logged as "dual". Even though the FARs allow you to log PIC time and dual time simultaneously under certain circumstances, the airlines want your PIC time to reflect only the time that you had "final authority and responsibility for the operation and safety of the flight".
IMPORTANT: The system will automatically include your instructor time in the total PIC calculation. Therefore, do not include your instructor hours with your PIC time. For example, if you have 1000 hours of PIC time logged including 200 hours of Instructor time then you would enter 800 hours PIC and 200 hours Instructor.
Definitions from the FAA:
Pilot in command means the person who:
(1) Has final authority and responsibility for the operation and safety of the flight;
(2) Has been designated as pilot in command before or during the flight; and
(3) Holds the appropriate category, class, and type rating, if appropriate, for the conduct of the flight.
Second in command means a pilot who is designated to be second in command of an aircraft during flight time.

Lori!
I have a question about filling out the application on Airline Apps.
I'm 43 years old and under the work history they want 10 years. I've had probably 4 solid jobs my whole life, which I listed and it covers the 10 years, but my question is I worked tons of P/T jobs (Sometime 3 at a time) during those 10 years to pay for flight training, child support, etc.. Do i need to list every single one? I can't remember dates or time for the majority of them.
Thanks,
