Interview is very straightforward... wunderlic test (essentially an IQ test... no way to study for it) ATP written questions... easy, nobody failed... HR and tech interview was quick and painless... then the sim is a frasca that they have you fly for a little bit... get your conditional job offer, go for drug testing, then back to the airport... they pay for the hotel and NRSA you back and forth to MSP... they had people who were instructors all the way down to the 600/50 level, and i've heard of a few who didn't even have the 50 multi, they were told to get to 50 by class... for those who want to go over to colgan, the 1000/100 is a hard deck
So if you get hired at say 600TT are you able to move to one of the other carriers when you get the required time or are you in the Saab till you upgrade or forever? |

Now as for flow through to Pinnacle, I think it only exists if your furloughed by Mesaba and needed by Pinnacle and vice versa. If your on the Mesaba side you can't bid to get on Pinnacle equipment. (Just my understanding). |
I hope I really can get an interview, thanks for the info guys. I got on the frasca in my school, was -/+ 100' and did holds, tracking and intercepting.. I have to go for away for my reserve commitment next week. :( Ms. Martin did leave a message saying that they have my resume, they will forward it to the flight ops department for review and will get back to me, but basically be patient. hope this didn't screw things up for me. Just wanted to show them that I want to work there, not just looking for a job. I'll keep you posted if I can get an interview
BTW, did they ask about a "1223 Conditional DH"? I can't find out what that is |
[QUOTE=mikeypat15;998963]From my understanding, you will be seat locked on your equipment for atleast a year. From there you can change equipment if your seniority number can hold it, but I believe you are then seat locked again as an F.O. for a year and cannot upgrade to the left seat.

From there, you can bid whatever your seniority will allow as long as there is an open vacancy for that equipment whether is Mesaba/Colgan or Pinnacle. You will carry a two year seat lock for an FO position, and also be locked for one year before you can upgrade (an upgrade is unlikely to happen that fast (2 years from DOH if you push things) at this point, but who knows). It does not matter whether you're bidding to or from XJ/9L to 9E or vice-versa. Flow through is a term used for an agreement between a regional and a mainline carrier that allows preferential hiring for those that are eligible based on seniority. Welcome to the party guys! |

Thanks for clarifying Spank, I was just trying to interpret things from like 20 different threads. Nice to know that I might be able to jump in the CRJ in the future. |
