I also flew every approach known to man other than RNAV.. i even got a chance to shoot a PAR approach into Miami one morning it was about 3am light traffic. i also have about 17 hrs of actual.. in the clouds **** outside weather. Yes i only logged the time i was actually in the soup
I have to agree with some others. Yes - the amount of multi time you have is a nice high percentage of your total time, but you still have an awfully low amount of experience overall. Be careful though. Just because the time is multi-time doesn't necessarily make it quality time. Your trips across the country and the actual instrument time is good time, but if you think you have some good stories to share with only 300 hours under your belt, think how many more you will have with 500 TT!! Good luck in finding the few more hundred hours of TT that you will need to start applying but keep your head up. Most on these boards say that finding the multi-time is the hardest part and you already have that whipped! USMCFLYR |

To build on what USMC said, most applicants struggle to get the multi requirement, and you already have a solid number. At this stage, I wouldn't worry about multi time. I'd work on the total time and getting as much experience as possible.
I'm not discouraging you from applying below mins, because I did, but just know that your TT will probably make it difficult for you. |
Try sierra west airlines. Its a 135.

Which airport did you use for that PAR approach, and how long ago? I didn't know the Miami TRACON offered that service.

Sounds like you are masking your Quality time in search of that short cut to the airlines. If you are truly interested in Quality time you will get a CFI job then work 135. It will make you a better Captain and F/O. It will also give you the experience needed to know when to fly and when to wave a white flag.
You can buy flight time but you can't buy experience and integrity. Earn it and then you can come here in 5 years and slam those that just want to buy a job. I'n life why would you take the long road..I'm not masking anything. I clearly stated my situation. I have a ton of ME time low TT and no CFI It's hard out here for a pimp lol. Traveling cross country i made a handful of no go-go decisions. I did not waste my time putting around the terminal area or doing touch and go's/ pattern work thats why i said "quality time". So sorry if i sounded like I was bragging. I acknowledged that i have ALOT more to learn and to think otherwise is boarder-line criminal. I will admit there was times on my X-country trip i wish i had a Captain with 5000 JET PIC time sitting next to me..just so i can say "what do you think we should do" |
Thanks all for the advice it was invaluable. I know what i need to do. I will apply but i will aggressively pursue my CFI ratings and get some duel time in!

If it was Miami TRACON, if TRACON was its name even, it wasn't a PAR, it was an ASR approach. The 300 hours is showing.

the multi time isnt some tell all make you great thing. Do you have a bunch of ME time with engine failures? That is the only thing that will make you anything special.

go to dropzone dot com and look at the classifieds and then employment. Call everyone of them looking for a 182 or 206 pilot. You will get one, they are hurting bad. That will get you to 500 Total and in the door at Eagle or someone like that.
