Incident/Accident records
Question: I landed at a controlled airport without clearance due to a full electrical failure, flight control failure. It was investigated by the FAA and they told me that I am not responsible as I did what I had to do and it was more of a maintainence issue. I am worried this may come up in an interview. If that was put in as an incident, would I already know? It happended in April. I filled out an ASAP too. I asked the FAA guy investigating and he said no incident but I am uncertain.

Sounds like it's something positive you could use in an interview. Can you describe the flight control failure - is that what prevented you from circling the airport until receiving a light gun?
I'm no expert, but knowing the government, if there was a problem, you'd have to sign some paperwork and you'd surely have a copy of it.

Email [email protected] and request a copy of your accident / incident / enforcement record (under the Freedom of Information Act). They'll need your full name, mailing address, and of course a return email. If it says you're clean, you're clean.
