Time in Type

Ok, heres a question for all you smart folks.

Im sitting at 6-7000hrs TT, several types, Mil/121/91 etc and wondering how to get the 3-500hrs time on type for say a A320/737/747/757 so I can qualify for the foreign carriers.

The majors dont seem to be hiring, at least not me, and RJ's @ $23hr wont help.

SO, I seem to be fairly well qualified for nothing.

Any suggestions?

There are a variety of smaller charter and cargo operations in the US flying 73 and 74, and even 75s. Probably won't be the latest glass-cockpit version right off the assembly line though.

Would they hire a bum like me with a fresh type and no time?
If so, can you steer me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Problem is almost none of the smaller operators are hiring, most are laying off...
Southern Air - lay offs
Evergreen - lay offs
North American - lay offs
World - lay offs
Sky King - gone
Ryan Intl - gone
Xtra - lay offs

Miami Air has hired some small classes and Atlas has been hiring in good numbers and they like ex-military people over there...
I would try Atlas if I was you.

Im in the same boat as you and I have gotten zero calls back... Its a tough market.. best of luck
