Driving record affecting hiring process
Hello all,
6 years ago when I just got my driver license, being on a 6 month probation period I got it suspended for "improper U turn", (it was suspended for 6 months and I had a restricted license. Three years ago I got a speeding ticket. How two of these occurrences can affect me during assessment and review of my records? Can they eliminate me completely from getting a job with a regional? How about a major? Thanks |

You'll be fine. The longer you go without getting another, the less they will consider it.

Thanks for the reply! Any other thoughts?

You're a B737 right seater, but worried about your future at a regional because of minor traffic violations? I don't get it.

Or perhaps majors.
I've never been at an interview of any US carrier... And even with my credentials Im not sure what can that traffic history will do to for me... |
I dont hope for a regional anyway, Im aiming for the majors...

I wouldn't worry about...just don't hide it and you'll be fine.

You'll have to explain why it was suspended...it's not the norm in the US to suspend a license due to one minor infraction so they will wonder about that.
But if all you had was two minor moving violations in the last six years, you'll be fine. |
I had two speeding tickets within 5 years when I applied to the regionals and none of them said a word about it in my interview. They may ask you about a suspended license, but I doubt it will prevent you from getting interviews.
