FAA Background Check?
I recently received an internship offer from an airline and will probably have to go through an FAA background check. My background is clean as a whistle, never had any issues with the law, not even a traffic ticket, however I'm worried about one issue that may cause a snag in the process.
One of my work experiences in high school was volunteer work under my moms company to gain real life experience. I listed this on my résumé and since there would be no social security, paystub or w2 of this employment, I'm worried that this would disqualify me from my internship. Am I making a mountain out of a molehill, or how should I best resolve this? |

Probably no big deal once you explain it was volunteer work at a family business.
But to avoid even having to confront that issue in the future, I would add the words "family business" when you talk about it on the resume. That will disarm in advance any concerns about no W2, etc. |
